Free Google visibility check
Give us the website and we will measure where it shows up in Google today, who is holding the results it should hold, and what is standing in the way. It comes back as a PDF, by email, usually within the hour. There is no call to book and nothing to install.
What gets measured
One question changes the whole report.
The kind of business you pick is not a category for our records. It selects what we go and look at, so it is worth thirty seconds of thought.
- A local business customers visit in person
- Your Google Business Profile, where you land in the local pack, your reviews, and whether a customer can reach you by phone or WhatsApp from the result itself. This is the one that needs your city — search results differ street by street, and websites almost never publish the town they serve.
- An online store
- Your cart and checkout, whether your products carry the Product and Offer markup Google reads prices and availability from, whether shipping and returns are findable, and where you place on searches for what you sell.
- A national or online service
- Your pricing page, the paths to a demo or a trial, whether your Organization markup tells Google who you are, and where you place on searches for the service rather than for your name.
The limits
What the report will not tell you.
It will not quote you a price. It measures what is there and says what is in the way; what fixing it costs depends on what we find once we are inside, and pricing a site we have only read from the outside would be guesswork with a number on it.
It will not forecast customers. Nobody can tell you how many appointments March holds. If you want to set a target against a budget, the ROI calculator does that honestly, with your own numbers.
And it is one website measured once. If you would rather write to a person about a specific situation — several locations, a rebuild in progress, a market outside the US and Latin America — the contact page is the better door.
Questions
Asked before sending it.
- Is it really free, and what happens afterwards?
- It is free and there is nothing to cancel. You get the PDF whether or not you reply to it, and you can take it to another agency or hand it to whoever runs your site. If it turns out you do not need us, that is a fine outcome and we will say so rather than pad the report.
- How long does it take?
- Usually within the hour, by email, as a PDF. If something in the measurement cannot be completed automatically we tell you the same day that a person is looking at it by hand, rather than sending you a report we do not stand behind.
- Do you need access to my Google account or my site?
- No. Everything in this check is read from what is already public, so the website address is enough. If we end up working together we will ask for read access to Google Analytics, Search Console and your Business Profile, and explain what each one is for.
- Why do you ask what kind of business it is?
- Because it decides what gets measured. A local business is scored on its Business Profile and its map placement; an online store is scored on its checkout and its product markup. Guessing wrong would mean scoring a shop for the absence of a listing it was never supposed to have.
- Which countries do you cover?
- The United States and Latin America. If your site sits outside that, we will tell you rather than send you a measurement we cannot make well.
